I need some feedback on a Savage Hog Hunter .308

I am looking at buying one in the near future and was wondering has anybody shot on and what do you think about the rifle

My son bought one last year and he loves it! It handles nicely and is very accurate with factory ammo and handloads.

Friend of mine had one. Sweet rifle, accurate, it handled very nicely with the short barrel, and the iron sights are always a plus. A definite brush gun that could do longer range if necessary. I almost bought it from him but couldn't get over the vomit-green stock, and replacing it put the total investment too close to some nicer rifles. JMO.

I have one and love it. I bought it because it was so ugly that it was pretty. I have Nickon scope on it with leupold quick release rings. It shoots very good with factory ammo.

Great rifle for the price. I love the irons on it. I like the ugly stock, that way I don't have to worry about it getting scratched. Shoots great.

FYI Hogs dont stop charging at u while u bolt another one in.

So unless u do it like those weiner dogs (Frank and Clay ect) from a up high stand u might get eaten bye a mob of rabbid swamp hogs?? Im just saying U aint in Florida Toto
