Thank you. Peterson's in Mount Dora has been there since I was a teenager.
Here is the weird thing: they can't take in any gun repairs (not sure why). They said can look at my rifle and maybe fix it while I'm there.
I'll probably stop in anyway, but I wasn't expecting that answer.

Been going to Peterson's since the mid 80's. Lots of things have changed there over the years, not the same, have not been back there in a few years. Last time I was there Stuart (I think that was his name) worked there and was snapping at fellow employees because people were waiting at the register and counter basically being ignored. Kind of embarrassing actually... I just walked out and never went back.

Last time I was there was a few years ago and I believe I saw a sign that said services were limited.

Might call Joe at JB Guns in Bushnell, FL. He does all kinds of work.

Okay, this turned into a huge PITA.
I showed up with my rifle (per their instructions) and the guy behind the counter said: "Oh, no. We would never tell you bring your rifle here! We don't have a gunsmith."

I spoke with Bruce at Rocky's Gun and Pawn in Eustis, who put me in touch with Howard who had been the main 'smith at Peterson's. He's going to fix it.

Long drive for nothing (although I had a good lunch at Eden Abbey brewpub in Mt. Dora).

Long drive, but there is an excellent gunsmith that works out of his home in the Brandon/Seffner area, Mike Dettrich.

I had Tampa Armory thread a couple of barrels.
