Yes. If you are making a living on selling firearms you must have a dealers license.

Yes, I've only bought one from a pawn shop and I had to go through the exact same procedure as I have at gun shops, plus the gun had to have a lock on the trigger guard before I could walk out the door with it.

At Cash America Pawn, you fill out the exact same paperwork as you do @ academy or mikes. You also endure the same 5 dollar background check.

The police also run a background check on you if they are returning a firearm to you the you already own (recovered stolen, taken into evidence, etc.)
