BTW, reminder to any who might be riding with me tomorrow: I'll be skipping the usual post-match lunch and heading straight back. I've got some things I'd like to do before the UT vs OU game tomorrow afternoon.

    How's the rain looking?

It's been showing rain over the range both times I checked the radar so far today. Looks like a decent chance of thunderstorms through the night. The chances drop down a little by match time tomorrow, but the damage might have already been done by that point.

I'll be sure to update this thread if I see that it's been cancelled.

    Just got the following email:

The match is still on, however, with a few important changes due to the weather.

Due to the rain yesterday and today, the range surface is a little dicey to be running around, and we aren't going to setup stages this afternoon in the rain.

Rather than have our regular USPSA match, the plan for now is that we are going to have an outlaw speed steel shoot. No movement and no requirement to drop mags in the mud. Very similar to Steel challenge, except it will be outlaw. Expect 4-5 stages, 4-5 strings each stage, 5 or so static steel targets per stage. 100-150 rounds.

USPSA steel challenge rules/divisions in effect. .22LR welcome, pistol caliber carbine welcome also.

Setup will be in the morning at 7am, registration at 8:30am and shooting starts at 9am.
$10 match fee instead of $15.

If rain continues in the morning, we may cancel altogether. If so, I'll send an email out to anyone pre-registered and on the BPSA facebook page by 7:30am at the latest.

If you don't hear anything else by then, the match is ON.

I'm not sure if I'm going to make the trip for that. It's been the week from hell and pretty much the only reason I was still going to go to the match was because I said I would drive. Now that it's just going to be a steel match, I'm leaning toward staying in bed. I'll have to think about it.

I'm going to pass on it, with the above change. Sounds like still a good shoot, but not what was hoping to do. Darn the weather! :mad2:

Just talked to Jogan and we're both out. Gonna take a buddy to the range by my house tomorrow, if the weather cooperates

at least you'll get comped at the Isle! Only get muddy mags at the range.

Anyone going to the USPSA in MS thus weekend? Never been to a USPSA match before, but thought of checking it out.

I'm headed over to shoot it, going to make a weekend of it and also shoot the Poplarville USPSA match on Sunday. Should be a great time for both!

IIRC, the Biloxi match is going to be a 6 stage classifier match. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it because I've got to go to a wedding on Saturday.
