I have a sword that I would like to find out about. Have had it for many years and the only thing I know is the Museum of Natural History in NY City has a very similar one on display. There's is (if I remember correctly) 18th century Turkish but it does have more of a curve to blade. Hilt was almost identical. Any info would be appreciated and if it's worth anything I might be willing to sell it.
    Here are some pictures.

I've spent the last few hours researching the sword and found it is an 18th or early 19th century Far East India/Persian ‘Tulwar’ Sword. They range in value from $100 for a totally rusted out example to several thousand dollars for a pristine condition with excellent markings. I have seen some in a little better condition than mine in the $400-$500 range so I am going to place a for sale ad in the right section.
