I ran across these the other day & wondered if anyone around here had one?

Mechtech CCU for glocks or 1911

I would not mind one for a glock. They feel pretty front heavy in the hand though. Also not sure about all the legal stuff switching from pistol to rifle back to pistol. Supposedly it is completely legal but I no very little about the regs.

They feel like they are built well. If I had my choice I would rather have the beretta cx4 but the prices have gone up too much on those.

If you use a dedicated glock pistol frame (that U buy)it would cast about the same as the original price of the cx4. The benefit for me is I have a clock frame & magazines already.

You can gain about 100 PS going from a 5 to a 16 inch barrel in .45 APC for example. You increase iron sight radius and firing stability but you are still shooting a handgun cartridge with many limitations compared to cartridges that can be use in a carbine platform. Cost effectiveness is up in the air with the current ammo situation. It is also too big to be considered "MP5 "like. I think it is a platform that only fills the requirement for a novelty firearm. You can buy a High Point platform that does the same nothing for less. IMHO. WR
