After reading online and finding no direct answer I called GEMTECH to see if the GM-9 could handle 357 SIG factory super-sonic loads. When I selected tech support from the menu, the extension rang for several rings and then went to a new menu; for Smith&Wesson. I called back and chose a different menu selection and got a human. He confirmed that GEMTECHs parent company was Smith&Wesson. He checked with someone and said the GM-9 would NOT be safe with the 357 SIG. He suggested that if I had a .45 caliber can, it would handle it.
I called Silencer Co, and left a call back message when the extension went to voice mail. Fellow called me back from tech support and said that the OPSREY 45, or OSPREY 9, could easily handle the 357 SIG. Luckily I have the Nielsen device for 1/2x28 that I ordered for the can when I bought it! That will help save some hearing if I have to use the 357 SIG indoors.
