It was a beautiful day, not too hot not too cold, to be slinging some lead today. I needed to try a new load for my 45-70 and pound my shoulder a little bit but I'm still needing to fine-tune the load it seems. I changed to a different powder because the first loads couldn't hit the side of a barn while in the barn. New powder burned a lot better, but accuracy was still garbage. Threw in some jacketed rounds that spec out to .459 instead of the .458 cast ones I have and boom, right on target!
It seems I need to step up to a .459 cast bullet.
