I like my chances a lot better than I like your chances out to 400 with my primary deer rifle chambered in .308, even out to 500 I would consider the odds in my favor.
Comfortable is all relative though.

My hunting rifle is a Tikka in .270wsm. Not sure of the gun/chambering ability, but my ability is limited to under 300 yards. (GASP) I’m probably the only one on the forum that can’t shoot steel out to 1,000.
No, just saying I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of a volley at 400-500 yards. Morally, I wouldn't shoot at a deer that far on the regular (I have taken a doe at 412, and as someone else said, the conditions were perfect)I don't follow? are you just trying to compare ballistics or something else?
Why would that be a concern? You hunt with a .300blk quite a bit, and the 6.5cm is superior to that cartridge in every way.As far as hunting goes . . . a prime concern for the 6.5Creedmmor shooters should be - -> how much energy will my bullet deliver at the longer distances and what will it's expansion characteristics be at the velocity that it strikes the animal. ---- SAWMAN
Not much man... only got 4 rifles chambered in it and killed about 30 hogs so far. But I'm no expert. Some people can use their skills as a hunter to put a bullet where it is supposed to be at the intended ranges.
On the other hand, people like you need extreme velocity to do a "real" hunters work for him.
Tell me sir . . . how much expierance do you have with a 300BLK ??
Thought so !! --- SAWMAN
Heh heh heh, ----------- oh my . Some of these guys can shoot the left leg off a fly at a thousand yards in a downpour with gusting 30 mph winds.
