What I truly believe is some folks truly believe violence is an option to the divide in this country. They somehow believe that "they" have superior firepower, thus would be victorious in some sort of civil war. They think that afterwards life will return to some sort of utopian existence they've concocted in their own mind. Anything other than true compromise will only lead to the demise of a great nation. The "maggots" have nothing to lose. The elephant has everything to lose and his arrogance will ensure that. His position has already been infiltrated and overran. You can't expect the slaves to give a crap if the plantation burns! The only reasonable option is compromise. Just saying.

All the compromising was completed when the U. S. Constitution went from a Draft to a Final and Formal Document. Further debate produced the Bill of Rights which identified and elaborated on topics that were taken for granted before but important enough to protect and attach to Our most important Document as the Bill of Rights. Its not broken, doesn't need to be fixed.

Compromise always means you are giving up something! There is never an advantage in that.
Compromise is equivalent to seeking the most favorable terms of surrender.
Compremise 1% at every negotiation or dratf law and after 100 meetings you will have nothing left.
What you think is "gained" through compromise will only be lost through later comprmises.
Compromises are battles where you surrender strength on your way to loose the War.
    IMHO

Compromise is not a dirty word. Another way to say it is "working together to resolve a problem".

We need to eliminate the Us and Them approach when talking about fellow Americans. The reality is that the overwhelming majority of people want to be safer. Some of us feel that this safety is achieved by owning firearms. Others believe that safety is achieved to removing access or limiting access to firearms. Gun grabbers re not evil they are just incorrect in their logic. Instead of screaming at them we need to show them that weapons do in fact save lives time and time again. Every month the NRA puts out stories on the Rifleman about how gun owners saved the day. These stories should be told in the broader media as well. While MSNBC may not carry these stories, FOX would.

Since when do "Them" care about: our shall not be infringed, 2A Rights? How can we show them anything pro gun when THEY are so busy making up there own anti gun facts, studies and only promote anti gun stories. If it bleeds it leads the News except if its a good guy/gal that prevailes over a BG in a lawful use of lethal force!

We see their lips move and sometimes hear the words "I support the 2A" but thats not what their voting record shows. Per current Laws, the 2A only applies to Law Abiding Citizens yet THEY want further restrictions on that Right.

"Compromise" absolutely IS a dirty word when applied to the subject of inalienable RIGHTS. There Absolutely IS an "Us" and a "Them" when referring to two opposing groups, one of which is attempting to steal/take/reduce/attack the other's RIGHTS.

Now, you want a group of 7 people to decide what's for dinner tonight? There will be some compromise. You want an arbitrator to decide a "settlement" out-of-court between two groups, oh heck yeah, there will be compromise.

When talking about RIGHTS, compromise is the path to final surrender.

There are plenty of solutions in this world that do Not involve trampling the RIGHTS of the innocent. The problem is convincing the weak-natured snowflakes that there is Evil in the world, and they can never legislate it away.
