I will read most anything for entertainment... over the past few weeks I have been reading a series by Jay allen called the Crimson war series. Not the greatest, not horrible. I prefer fiction books that are in a series. There is more to the story. Before this round, I read a Timothy Zahn series strung out over a couple of trilogies called Cobra and Cobra war.
For knowledge, well it depends. I have struggled through a couple of published disertations like "learning to eat soup with a knife" and "guns, germs, and steel".
By and far, the best non-fiction book I have read, was Bill bryson's " A short history of nearly everything."
"Bank on Baghdad" is a great read and sheds light on a lot of stuff.
I am about to jump into the "imperial journey"
