      Starter suggestions

If we ever end up in a James Rawles novel, we may need every resource we've acquired. Don't mean this to be a long post but I'm all for getting others involved in handloading/reloading.. We are living in a time where every aspect of gun ownership is being assailed by democrats, rinos, and the...

      RCBS Rock Chucker Reloading kit

That's true plus the hand primer, which is what I use, is about $50 if I remember correctly. The Speer reloading manual is also good. This is the kit I started with in 2008.

      458 SOCOM

Thanks for the information on using CFE Black. It's interesting that the CFE powders are meant to combat carbon fouling but my use of CFE Pistol has created boatload of dirty cases. I intend to load using the SBR-SOCOM powder first as Shooters world has reload data available for use in their...

      New Guy Reporting In.

Welcome to the forum. My wife and I relocated from Kansas and winter weather was a factor along with fresh water. My son and I chopped ice most mornings in stock tanks frozen the night before. Even with tank heaters, you needed to chop 3-4 inch thick ice so they could get water.
