Anyone have experience with setting medallions in grips? How about in brass? I'm looking at setting a medallion in a set of brass grips and planned to tape the grips then mark an outline with a pencil then use a dremel to cut it on a one to one with the tracing then using epoxy to set it.
Am I setting myself up for failure?
Here's a picture of the medallion

If you know anyone with a CNC... That would be ideal. I made some 1911 grips out of 105mm shells a few years ago for a SOF auction, wish I had kept them. still have the program though. But @Beached has the second best method, I would cut small and use sand paper to perfect the size.
