Hopefully this won’t affect primitive camping in any of the state forests but what I’m hearing makes me wonder.

I get it, these laws will infringe on our rights, but what do we do ? Pensacola is quickly becoming the next Portland Oregon, or the next Seattle, WA, or Austin, TX. I was born and raised here for 56 years and I remember a pristine city. The homeless are FLOCKING here because every church on every corner is giving away free food, our city leaders give free phones, free electricity, free lodging. When all these folks end up camping in your neighborhood and you loose 200k value in your house when you try to sell you will have a change of heart !!!!!

Personally I’d rather see the homeless given a choice of work or jail. Bring back the poor houses my Granny told me about where they can do something to offset the cost of their living expenses.
That would stop most of the homeless from thinking of our area as a place to live.

The cost of housing now, there’s gonna be a lot more people living in tents! However, hopefully they are attempting to not let cities become like LA or SF! There are video’s of folks driving through these cities where you get to see a lot of things including tents all along the side walks!

Never underestimate the power of government to ignore the obvious and $%^& it up. Then it'll take 10+ years to un-$%^& it.

I remember back in the 70s when the government dictated that the petroleum industry could not charge more for unleaded gas than they charged for leaded gas. So, they raised the price of leaded gas....

I know it’s aimed at the homeless population but I worry about unintended consequences. Hopefully it’s just aimed at city property not state.
Don't underestimate the governments ability to fuk something well intentioned up. It's a bureaucracy after all. Can you imagine how many bureaucratic finger that bill will go through before it will reach the governor"s desk for signing?
