    It’s pretty rare , you don’t see a $6000 dollar colt ar every day.
    This one is post-Dec. 1967 as evidenced by the A1 birdcage FH. A shot of the serial number and barrel markings would tell what year it was made. It could be anywhere from 1968-1985.

    May I ask where you are getting that info
    I have a SP1 datebase source that I use that is on the AR-15 Forum (Retro section). It has been compiled over several years by those who own and have owned Colt SP1 Sporters since they were produced in 1964. It is one of the best and most thorough sources available right now. If you ask most people on this forum, they will tell you that I know a little bit about retro Colts.
