That bill is already a state law in Florida (790.29) and Alabama (Alabama Code § 31-2-125) and IIRC every other state.
I’m more concerned about the stupid add-ons they stick into it.

I would suspect every state has a similar law… I’ll keep doing what I’m doing, new law or no new law as I don’t plan on engaging in activities with three or more people in public.

    Exactly, same here.

What would be nice for a change is Bills get introduced requiring just the complete opposite…

Let’s call it The American Citizens Responsibility Act.

You’re required to train in gun safety, required to know your neighbor and look out for them, patrol your neighborhood to deter criminal activity and ensure the safety of others… on and on.

Yes - this legislation is terrible in so many respects and should it pass, be broadly applied by dangerous prosecutors. That’s my point.

Fortunately Alabama remains a deep red state. In my 20-plus years of practicing I’ve never seen or read of anyone in Alabama being prosecuted of under that state statute.

Well, they don’t pass laws to not use them, I can just about guarantee it will eventually get used. I mean, what good is a law if you can’t use it and abuse it.

Edit to add: the keyword is to promote or incite civil unrest so as long as you’re not doing that, you’re fine. I’m pretty sure every country that’s ever been overthrown has had a law against overthrowing that country really don’t mean a whole lot except for those who want to obey them.

I expect RINO's will say its good because of antifa groups, the same people who approved of desantis flying to israel to sign more florida hate speech laws. Its funny people talk about civil wars and all that crap but it feels like there's been a war on us for years. A long slow war.

You got to love the wording "To amend title 18, United States Code, to prohibit unauthorized private paramilitary activity, and for other purposes."
Funny, those same bold words appeared in at least the draft of what became FL red flags laws....

Kinda like engaging in insurrection or rebellion? Basically, semantics to the powers-in-charge who can decide to prosecute, be it politically motivated or otherwise.

    “Civil unrest”?

Like the BurnLootMurder organization that the regime endorsed?

How about the antifa cowards that the regime bailed out of jail?

    No?

Oh maybe the millions of HORDES of criminal invasion forces that are allowed into the Nation?

THAT kind of civil unrest, right?

    No?

Ah. Must just be targeted at those pesky Patriots who are tired of the Unconstitutional regime...

For those of you able to take a last-minute roadtrip to Texas, I saw some of these folks at a Buccees today. Nice people. I wish them all the best.
