Why does it take more than one iteration to produce a weapon that people actually want? You may say they all do that. I say, Gaston Glock made perfection on the first try. Proof is the new 9mm. Glock has had generational changes. However, they were to stay on top of market preferences. Preferences brought about In order to distinguish themselves companies had to make alter the Glock design in order to sell their product. Newer Glock generation never actually improved the base. Am I a Glock fan. You bet since the beginning. None better. IMO I apologize for getting off OP.

All company's do the " new and improved" thing. Ya think glock would have the sales #'s if they just stopped at gen 2? To me I don't see any functionality improvement over the gen 2's. Actually the gen 5 looks like the gen 2. Except for the rail and ambi. Gen 6 is on the horizon. Why? Because it's new...

    Good description of what’s new

UPGRADED ACTION The action of the SUB2000 now features a redesigned operating handle for added comfort, a lightened action for easy racking, and an ambidextrous bolt hold-open. All additions provide for improved weapons manipulation. ROTATING FOREND The biggest update is the rotating forend that comes standard on every SUB2000 GEN3. Mounted optics and accessories now easily rotate out of the way for folding. Getting back in action is easy with a simple, singlehanded maneuver that maintains a seamless, quick deployment. No need for additional accessories. CHAMBER INDICATOR While not a replacement for standard firearm safety practices, a new chamber indicator has been added to the SUB2000 GEN3 to further assist the user in operating the firearm safely. This visual indicator is in the form of a peephole on the top of the firearm above the chamber. When a round is chambered, the brass is visi- ble through this peephole. TRIGGERThe GEN3 has a new aluminum trigger and redesigned trigger mechanics making for a lightened, 5 lb trigger pull. This updated trigger provides the user with more precise feedback for a clean, isolated trigger pull, translating into increased accuracy and follow-up shots.
