    For the deer slayer:

The Remington Mohawk 600 is a classic hunting rifle that was built from 1971 1980. It is functionally the same as the Model 600 but has a shorter 18.5" barrel. This rifle is chambered in .308 Winchester. The condition is good overall with some minor wear on the outside of the barrel, I tried to get it in the pictures. Overall great shape for a nearly fifty year old gun. In .308 it does have some recoil for those sensitive folks. Optics NOT included.

Do you know if this rifle had the recall work on its trigger and safety? If it did, I'd like to check this rifle out in person

    Some research:
I cant pinpoint the year of manufacture. The documentation I found says a "Letter" precedes the numbers for the year. However, my Mohawk is just numbers 63939XX ??
The trigger recall says IF the rifle had the recall completed a "V" would be stamped on the
left side of the trigger. There is no stamp. SO, the rifle is unmolested and from what I've read
the trigger is better replaced by an aftermarket unit. As for myself it's a sweet trigger now
and I cant reproduce the failure outlined in the recall...

Interesting... I think the Colonel was on to something more than just the 308 caliber and light weight... the M1917 was known to be a fast cycling bolt handle, but this Mohawk bolt is going the other direction. Bet it's still fast, though Screenshot_20210626-002140_Chrome.jpg Screenshot_20210626-000914_Gallery.jpg
