      CZ 70 Hammer Follow

I ended up taking it apart to inspect the suspect parts. I also noticed that the decocker was releasing the hammer prematurely so I was going to drill down on the hammer. I found that the ledge on the back of the hammer that engages with the sear was barely a ledge anymore. It was rounded off...

      CZ 70 Hammer Follow

So it does have a firing pin lock which is disengaged by the sear when the trigger is pulled/held to the rear. That second shot may occur simply because of the time it takes me to release the trigger, engaging the firing pin lock. So instead of a runaway gun, I may have a fully automatic...

      CZ 70 Hammer Follow

I have a CZ70. It is a traditional double action semi-auto pistol (first round double action, subsequent rounds single action). With an empty gun, I can rack the slide to the rear, setting the hammer in its single action position. If I ride the slide forward into battery the hammer will...

      FFL A&D Book Question

They are hand written and I estimate that there are maybe a dozen undisposed entries that I would be bringing to the new book.

      FFL A&D Book Question

I think I know the answer to this but just wanting to see if it is generally practiced. So, I'm just getting to the end of my first A&D book and I wanted to know if I could dispose all of the open entries remaining in the book to myself (the FFL) and then aquisition them into the new book...

Unique Gas System Length on AR10

Oh yeah...there were signs of leaking at both the gas block and the key end of the gas tube. Both ends were blackened pretty good. I also noticed that the "flare" normally present on the key end of the gas tube was absent, completely. An indication that the tube was either cut to length or...

Unique Gas System Length on AR10

It's having some cycling issues...not ejecting. It would be possible to cut an intermediate to a proper length. My thing is why? Why make a one of a kind barrel that doesn't adhere to any of the accepted norms? There's nothing special about this rifle other than the fact it has a gas system...

Unique Gas System Length on AR10

No SAWMAN...a normal length rifle tube (15-1/8") would result in 4" of gas tube in the upper receiver. This gas tube is cut to 12-1/4" and fits at that length.

Unique Gas System Length on AR10

I say unique but I could just be ignorant, hence I am here asking those who might know. I got a hold of a Frankenstein AR10 with an unknown (unmarked) 16" barrel. Noticed the gas tube was slightly warped so I went to replace it. At first glance it looked to be a standard 11-3/4" mid length...

      Everbody calm down...I'm here!

You're most welcome...and thank you too! You know, there was a time when I didn't really like responding with a "you're welcome," to a thank you for your service. I felt and still feel like I shouldn't say those words because I DID volunteer to do the job, without any pressure from anyone...

      Everbody calm down...I'm here!

It sounds like I was just getting mine as you were getting rid of yours. I really like it despite the gas mileage. Haven't been able to go on a trail ride yet but I'm waiting until the fall to do that.
