      My experience is it is impossible to double charge a 223. You may get a tiny bit more in but like you said , using proper rifle powder, it won’t happen.

      Looks like a double powder charge, or more accurately a compressed load as you can not hardly get a double charge into a 223/5.56 case. Along with a brittle case that was probably reloaded multiple times prior to freedom loading it.
