I never have a problem associating, being friends with, or tolerating people with political views that differ from mine.

My problem comes when people become authoritarian in their beliefs. Both sides are guilty of it, but the left seems to be in a higher level of denial about it.

Land on the Texas border is less than $500 an acre.

Anyone wanna setup a hunting ranch with a shooting range? All lanes of fire are pointed SOUTH.

Membership in the shooting club is via partial ownership of the land, making you technically a property owner and while there, a resident.

Full briefings on Castle Doctrine and Stand Your Ground legalese before membership is approved.

Copious amounts of legal No Trespassing signs would be posted in multiple languages on all boundaries of the property.

Then go about our business of lawfully practicing our Second Amendment Rights on our own property.

Let the chips fall where they may.

I was looking at land, and I came across some very cheap parcels in TX. Too cheap.
When I saw the map I laughed, it was right along the border. Probably strong pointed by the cartel lol.

Yep. This puppet-regime is allowing it all.

The border just needs to be declared what it is:
    A War Zone.

    Treat it as such.

    Shut it down.

i kind of think laying down a few mags of ammo 20 yards in front of each large group that wants to cross would enlighten them as to the wiseness of their decision....

if that dont work, tear gas & CS application.... rubber bullets.. heat guns, sound guns, let's use some of this hightech crap we have for something instead of keeping it for use against our citizens here .. if AOC thinks that is too cruel, then deport her to central america where she can stfu...

The border has been a problem for at least 100 years, both politically and physically.

The politicians have to place a point on the spectrum between the red and blue sides that gives enough security to appease the reds but not so much as to offend the blues.

The border is enormous. Not like between east and west Germany back in the day or between the Koreas.

2000 miles that would have to be staffed and maintained with RoE’s that supported the mission, because a physical barrier that was undefended wouldn’t last long.

On top of that no one wants to pay $10 for a tomato.

I could post at length about some immigration stuff!

Securing a border doesn’t exclusively mean a physical barrier, but they are effective at funneling traffic.

The argument about “cheap labor” is just a lazy excuse from the “policy-makers” to leave the broken system as-is, instead of fixing the bureaucratic web of BS. Want cheap labor? We have work visas for that.

Right now, to do it legally, my understanding is it would only take a few weeks to a few months to get a temporary work visa. To get a permanent resident “Green Card” can take up to a few years, but if you’re already here on a temporary visa, that would make the wait go easier, huh? You can even apparently fast-track the application by paying a couple thousand dollars for “Priority Processing” or some other such extortion.

Point is: “cheap labor” is attainable. If the US genuinely NEEDS more labor Sooner, then it seems like the spigot could be opened/closed via administrative means from Proper Applicants. Not illegal invaders.

Meanwhile, the joke of a border needs to be clamped shut. Airports, seaports, roads, etc. Build walls, add sensors to areas you can’t, sentries, drones. Authorize and fund Army and Air National Guard side missions to augment their state’s US Border Patrol. Keep it random in some places; predictable in others. Partner up the local LEO with local land owners. Deputize some land owners in problem areas, if need be. Be creative. The goal is to stop the illegal traffic. Period. That covers drugs, slaves, and criminals.

I consider those who employ illegals as accessories to this National Security problem. It won’t get fixed as long as everyone turns a blind eye and enables the broken system.

If you pay an illegal in cash, then you’re part of the problem.

Hire legitimate workers, and yeah, report those who don’t. If ICE or whomever is supposed to do something about it WON’T, then THAT becomes the problem to solve, and on down the line.

This BS won’t just go away, and saying it’s too big of a problem is more BS. It just takes that much longer to fix.

The federal CCC program did this in California already (and all across the nation) not that long ago during the first depression. The financial numbers are that right now it's already worse than that first depression and about to get much worse. No reason why we can't rebuild the interstates and fully staff all the parks around the country with this program all over again
