Federal government may provide funds to demolish then rebuild Robb Elementary School. Biden suggested to a local lawmaker on Sunday that the federal government may provide funds to raze Robb Elementary School, where 21 people were shot and killed on Tuesday.

    This gesture accomplishes what exactly?

That should save taxpayers $. If you calculate the costs both ways then add in the cost of "build back better" you will see how it works.
The blood won't have to be cleaned off of the walls and floors. They will not have to patch bullet holes either.
On a serious note, knock it down, level it, hide all evidence, move on to next tragedy or complete failure this unelected administration seems to specialize in.

So it looks like the uvalde police entered school. They were shot at. They retreated to safety outside for 78 minutes. Border patrol came in and shot and killed the "youth".

If by now you don't think that your safety, and your loved ones safety is your responsibility you too far gone. We are supposed to have another "summer of love, or summer of riots, or summer of (mostly) peaceful protests. Just need that drug overdosing, lifelong black felon with a picture of a white looking cop.

yuhp- and he pulled the old "you couldn't buy cannons" pearl out of his butt to rationalize that the Constitution has to be "flexible"...unless of course you're talking about the right to an abortion, which is not mentioned in any document produced by the founding fathers. Guess we best get satisfied with whatever ammo between .22 and .38 caliber Joepa deems acceptable.

People have power only because other people let them have power. People forget that time to time and need to be reminded. They work for me. And you. So get pissed when they get out of line and fire them. Oh and by the way, the gun grabbers that hate guns want to control you, not your inanimate object. They could take every single gun and every single bullet in the whole freaking country and we would still out number the evil ones by like 20 to 1. They know this and they're scared. This is the real reason they want to control you, and reduce the world population by 50%. When they finally think that they have all of the guns and ammo under control then they will come for the knives next, just like they did in England. You won't even be able to walk down the street with a common pocket knife, nevermind a tactical folder or sheath knife

LA Times column compares invoking God amid Texas school shooting to 'faith that allowed brutal enslavement'

After Texas school shooting, columnist laments Americans turning to God amid tragedy instead of gun control.

L.A. Times opinion columnist LZ Granderson ripped Republicans who turn to faith in God during the aftermath of a tragedy like the horrific school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, claiming they sought a "return to the kind of faith that allowed brutal enslavement to be the law of the land for centuries."

People have a right to judge and voice an opinion as it assists in holding responsible folks accountable.

My issue with these incidents is the vetting of information prior to public release. Many times media outlets will take someone's word and spread it without any vetting. We see over and over again bad info being passed on. People get mad and suspicious when the PIO says "no comment" and that's partly because once you announce something you can't get it back.

As more unfolds the situation certainly looks bad for the Incident Commander, who at this point based off what I'm seeing, felt the best response at the time was to contain. Then again, what he knew and did not know remains to be seen. What specific facts were known to him during his decision making?

I learned a long time ago to wait a good spell before taking a position on an incident as I know info is going to change, sometimes for the good, sometimes for the bad.

In response to the ad for Guardians... I've personally trained them... you get a very mixed bag of individuals when you go this route. This is a public forum so I will say no more.

I hate to say it... but there are incompetent Administrations all across this country in LE. There are people occupying key critical positions who are nowhere near qualified for the responsibility they have. Unfortunately, these situations flush out those not up to the task. If I recall, the Parkland incident involved a female Administrator that made a bad call as well. If I'm wrong, forgive me.

Just think of all the political appointments in the current Administration... the track records for failure. We will see more of this as the norm is EVERYONE'S A WINNER is the new way... thus ANYONE can occupy a critical position of authority, skills and abilities be damned.

I'll stop now, I need more coffee.
I have no problem exercising my first amendment rights. I also understand my opinions are rarely sugar-coated, and just plain hurt the feels of others. I try to self-moderate, to a point, simply because I understand sites like GCGF could be punished "legally" and monetarily if things get too far out of line.

In years gone by, when most information was passed by newspaper and/or TV, the pause for the "facts/truth" to come out was expected. These days, we get live/raw information, granted it is a best guess based on present circumstances, and each individual makes there own judgement/decisions, right or wrong, based on what is currently available.

I understand preserving information for the sake of an investigation, and not to release information that would aid a perpetrator(s), but IMO, the longer the delay justified as required to ensure the "facts" are released, the higher the potential for the release to be spun into something that portrays they who release the information in the best light possible. AFAIK, every sizeable PD in the nation has someone that works public relations. Public relations = preserving the image of the department, not necessarily fact, until fact can't be sanely denied. Then it's damage control.

Not a fan of political appointments unless they are truly made by vetting selecting the best qualified and capable candidate. Anything else is cronyism, if not corruption. Worse than worse if the individual making the appointment is clueless about the intended area of responsibility, and or exercising cronyism/corruption.

While I 100% understand your point.

At the same time you have to see that they didn’t want 100’s of parents storming the school. That could have turned into a bigger mess. Like being shot by the wack job who went on the spree.

I personally don’t expect normal cops to make the right call in the moment, and it is easy to sit back, not in the moment and make calls. At the time they probably didn’t even know how many shooters and were still trying to assess the situation.

The evil here was the shooter. Not law enforcement officers. I understand the scrutiny and welcome it, but remember they were responding in the moment, doing what they thought best to keep the situation from being worse, like keeping hundreds of people from storming an active shooter. Maybe it wasn’t the right call in hindsight but I don’t think their intentions were to make this worse.
I get that completely, and do see/understand your logic. Cold, hard fact is, 99.9% of departments do not require their personnel to "run toward the guns," but to hold position, maintain public order/safety, and await further instructions. Granted, the average citizen expects "someone" to do "something." It comes down to individual choice. LE present may have been following orders/policy, they may have been scared, they may have not even cared. I can't get inside their heads, so honestly don't know.

In the end, taking one more lash at this dead horse, had I been there with my kids inside, I promise you it would be my purpose in life to go in, neutralizing opposition if necessary, maybe better arming myself along the way, or died trying. Would I have offered to align myself and assist LE? Absolutely. The answer I saw in tier eyes would dictate all subsequent actions. BL: they'd either be with me or not, If not, see ya.

Seems like it's time to cover up, clean up, or try to get some BS story together while it drags out.

The Difference is now there is alternate information. And it is so Beneficial. Rittenhouse would have been completely screwed over if there wasn't 1. Real time Livestreaming 2. People actively posting his attack and defense.
The Same with Truethevote/2000Mules movie. People are now actively posting Facts before the "News" can lie. And more importantly they can show the receipts.
The powers that be are shitting bricks right now because they can't just hold the information space. They are getting schooled in 5th Gen warfare by Meme Warriors and /Pol. It feels good frens.

Uvalde school board declines to punish police chief who failed to confront Robb Elementary gunman

The school shooting took the lives of 19 children, 2 teachers.

At the first meeting of the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District (UCISD) board since the deadly mass shooting, members took no action against school police chief Pete Arredondo.

The meeting – which opened with prayer – was called in response to the May 24 attack by a lone gunman at Robb Elementary school that left 19 students and two teachers dead.

Although the agenda allowed the board to terminate Arredondo, in a part of a meeting that was behind closed doors, they declined to do so.
If the school board isn't going to do their job and hold arredondo responsible, why do they need a school board. The parents should hold every member of that board accountable and terminate the entire board for lack of action when the opportunity presented itself. arredondo has stopped cooperating with the investigation. Why? That alone is grounds for termination, IMO.
