In the market for a few muzzle brakes.
Read a lot of reviews about the flaming pig. Not being well versed on the subject it looks like this is also a flash suppressor. Dont think I necessarily need that but would like a device to throw the blast forward, which the pig does. There are so many different options, just looking for a direction I should head in.
Others offer forward blast and keeps down muzzle rise. I'd like a compromise of the two, but mainly like to keep things forward.
All my rifles and pistols currently have basic a2 flash hiders on them now.

Get em on them all. You'll like em. I got one from Jpyritz that works great. Don't recall the name brand. Linear comps are great for short barrels and long barrels. The pig is more of a way to increase the back pressure, its like a one baffle can of sorts. Pulling into Cleveland right now, more later.

    Many many MANY options.
KAK is the most affordable but still effective, also not huge. It does make a fireball though. I had one on a 7.5” LWRC an I could shoot it just wearing foamies.
    Hope that helps.

I’m going to link the page also. It’s a great forwarder but not for flash on short barrels. They have tons of great stuff that doesn’t break the bank and it’s all quality stuff I’ve used in the past. Like rebel said the flaming pig is going to make extra back pressure so if your already running short it’s going to over gas your gun. The one I linked doesn’t create any back pressure. Definitely a plus. Take a look on their site, you can buy a few different ones for the price of some of the other “name” brands.

On a 10.5 so you can have a visual of what it looks like on a shorty. Rebel has it on a carbine length if I remember correctly.
Yep on a 16 inch. It dosent make your ears ring if not using ear pro. Balances really well too, lol. I like these better cause they are a bit longer.

KAW VALLEY LINEAR BRAKE. I have some mounted on different guns. Come over and take a look if you want to.
Easy to install. No clocking/timing. All blast and concussion goes downrange. No side holes. Not the best brake, but great compromise.
What chambering on which gun do you need this brake for ?? --- SAWMAN

I have the PWS CQB Comp on my AR pistol and my carbine has a Surefire Warcomp on it. When indoors or on a firing line I have a Surefire Warden that I use to keep everyone to my left and right from HATING me and my Warcomp... both are great.

Too many. You can look for days. Lol.

"THIS DEVICE IS NOT DESIGNED TO REDUCE RECOIL, MUZZLE RISE, OR FLASH SIGNATURE"

Straight from the kak page. Is there a "do all," or at least a design that offers more than one purpose?

Have several for shorter barrels. Great when hunting or from the bench at the range. Like the Pig and Kak cans

If you think about how blast shields, flash hiders, and muzzle breaks each work, you’ll realize that doing more than one function compromises the other. Yes, you could do something like an ASR blast shield on a flash hider, or a WarComp with a warden on it, but cost-wise, you’ll be halfway to a suppressor by then and it really won’t work all that well.

I don’t know if you saw but the KAK works with up to 9mm bores.

    Best muzzle device? A suppressor...
I’m working on one more so I can have one for each rifle.

IMO wrong device. Compair that one to a linear comp.
Myself and others suggested/reccomend a LINEAR COMP/BRAKE. THE KV brand to be more specific. We have got quite a few rds thru ours both from the bench and hunting shoulder to shoulder.
Not poo-pooing your choice. Your gun. Just setting the record straight.
