Someone has to operate the heavy equipment. Besides, no one can sink a 20,000 lb. machine like I can.

As for the sign, feel free to snag it. As much as I want it I'm already on the county's shit list.

Keep running that equipment like a BOSS. Takes deft skill that the haters don't possess.

I used to rock an enclosed cab Bobcat with AC when we had the tree & dirt work business. Had those hand signals down for the poor bastards stuck out in the mid-August heat. But hey the show must go on and somebody has to direct it.

Had an open can model for the employees. Man it's miserable to get repeatedly dusted when it's 95 degrees and you are soaking wet. Builds character though!

I'm pretty damn good on some equipment but it took years of effe ups to get there. I rolled an RC100 inverted into a swamp once. I've dropped trees on me, got stuck in an ASV 4810 when I was running a brush cutter and hit a concrete foundation, the shrapnel damaged the safety door track and I had to drive it 2 miles to get help getting out. The fun one is going to be when I demo the barn at work. The whole inner structure is 6"square steel pipe and 9" I beam. Gonna hold up both ends of the building with reach lifts, torch out the steel, drag it out then let the building collapse as I lower the forks. I've studied and calculated it for weeks. I "hope" it holds together the way I think it will till we're clear of the inside. I've got precautions setup.

Funny one was a couple of weeks ago. Shootinstarz was helping me as I drove the big reach lift into a building, I would pluck a set of aircraft wings up, back out and sit them on a trailer. Second trip in something felt odd and I realized the overhead clearance was better than the first trip. When I got done and climbed out I saw the concrete foundation had shattered and the tires were wallowing through mud. Between the rain and the bozo that poured the foundation only 2" deep, the thing gave way. I looked at Rick with a questioning stare and he said "Yep, but I figured there was no reason to mention it. You already fucked up the floor and weren't sinking any deeper...........". He was right but stuff like that is nice to know.

Haven't dropped a chimney on me John. Yet.

Dusty and sweaty I can deal with. Working soaking wet and muddy on a cold cold day truly sucks.

I am going to grab one of those legs and eat it barbaric style, while pointing it at everyone at the table...

I did a saltwater brine last year and it was awesome. Got ate faster than the deep fried one we had too.
Doing 3 style birds this year. Smoked, fried and roasted. Gonna be a big plate.

Well our Grand Daughter is in the Navy at Pensacola, she is bringing 4-5 service people who are here without family so that big 21lb turkey will be gone I am sure! I like the saltwater brine as I feel it helps keep the meat juicy and we will just roast it in a bag in a counter top roaster.

My daughter (and my family and I) were on channel 3 news. She turned 6 today and for her birthday party last Saturday she asked for no presents this year. She wanted everyone to bring donations and we took them to the humane society today.

You guys ever had your wife get hit on right in front of you? Haha
We got here to Texas for Thanksgiving yestersay and my dad wanted to take my kids out to spoil them. So we went to the mall and walked into a candy store. My wife was over looking at something and I was off in another part of the store. I see this guy walk in all by himself and walks right up to my wife and starts up a conversation, I knew what was going on so I got a littlecloser to watch in on the fun. After a minute or so he looks around and see me and asks if I was her boyfriend haha she's says husband and I look over and he waves back. Finishes his little convo and heads out. It was awesome.
He didn't look like a slimeball or anything and he had some big balls for just going for it. Haha.
My wife's friends have told me stories about my wife getting hit on when they go to lunches and stuff but that's the first time I've seen it. Haha it was funny.

That's awesome Jaxon, my 10 yr old daughter also has a giving heart. It's wonderful and a result of good parenting.

Back when our daughters were in their late teens and early 20s my wife would get hit on when they were all in a group somewhere. One day three of the girls were sitting in the car waiting for wife to come out of the grocery store. Some Navy guys walked by the car, stopped and started flirting with them. Wife comes up and one of the dudes looks at her and says "Hey cutie, what's your name?". She smiled, giggled and said "Janene, but those girls call me 'mom'"................. They dropped the Joe Cool real fast and got all ma'am on her.

When she bartended part time I avoided going there when she was working because I figured it was inappropriate, plus it cut way back on tips. She always encouraged me to come up there and sit for a while. When I did there was always that one guy that would start up a conversation with me and bring up the hot bartender. I always acted like I didn't know her but when she would come over and give me a kiss the guys would change their tune. LOL

But, like Frank said, it never bothered me one bit. It's a compliment as long as the guy knows when to stop. Hell, I've been guilty lots of times of hitting on some girl and not realizing her boyfriend or husband was around. When informed I would apologize to the dude and move on. It's the guys that take it as a challenge that cause problems. I've had wives get hit on, they respond back that they're married and point me out but the guy just keeps on. A couple of times there was guys that said something like "ditch that loser and come home with me". That's when the problem starts. A lot of it is the way the woman handles it. My second wife loved acting the ho so that gave guys the signal to push me. Part of the reason I ditched her ass and found a better looking chick with principles. Present wife, when she was hot, knew how to nicely shut a dude down.

Might be worth grabbing a 6 pack and lawn chair to come check that one out. Get up a GCGF peanut gallery and get some side bets going!
