I have "smallish hands" as well, and I certainly noticed that. If this gun was going to be used for personal defense in any way, that would probably stop me. But since I just want to burn through some ammo at the range, and mainly just scratch an itch, I don't think it will bother me too much. But the once or twice I've handled a CZ, I kind of looked at the slide with a puzzling look for a second because I wasn't sure how to grip it. I guess I'm used to my 1911 and XD's that I can basically palm the top of the slide to rack.
I hear ya. I really wanted to buy the one I had a shot at, it was a good deal, but I also knew my wife would never be able to handle it comfortably and that's a big issue for me. I could have dealt with it I think, but no way she could have. I really like to have guns we can both use since we enjoy shooting together so much.

That's a good problem to have.

I handled one briefly at outpost elite yesterday. It was double single but had a safety so it seemed it could be carried cocked and locked like I'm used to.

Yes, the SP01 can be carried cocked and locked with the safety. I have 3 cz's and absolutely love them! The slide, since it's nestled inside the rail instead of outside, does seem like it would be a problem to rack, but trust me, it's a non-issue. I'd be happy to let you shoot any of mine and see if it's something you'd like.

That would be excellent. Maybe we can work something out in the next week or so.

Been playing around on the internet this afternoon(dangerous), and found this. Looks like it takes about two minutes to convert it to SAO with a safety. I'm sure you guys knew that the DA/SA CZ's could be converted but this is news to me and opens up a few options. I like that I can get the P-09 can ready. Puts a few more expensive ideas in my head. Anyone have experience with this particular model?

I have the compact version of that P09 for sale here on the forum. The P07 DUTY. It has all the original parts to convert it back and forth between a safety and a decocker. You can shoot it along with the rest of my CZ family. And if ya like it...comes with 4 mags and 2 custom holsters!lol

There are a bunch of Browning / FN Herstal Hi-Powers on the market that are european LE / MIL trade in guns. Most are carried a lot and shot very little. Although they have import markings (eliminating any collector value) they will make good base guns for someone like Cylinder & Slide to do their magic upon for a great SA 9mm shooter.
