STYX does not have any small containers of Trail Boss. (3 days ago ) Only one large keg.
Did not notice any 45LC brass. Some cheap loaded rds though.
I have been toying with the thought of turning some of my 454Casull brass into 45LC. Would really have to keep it separated though. And the urge to load it to >45LC pressure levels for my Ruger Blackhawk. --- SAWMAN

Sawman, have you done any looking at the 45 cowboy special cartridge? I am going to be in Tulsa at the gun show in a couple of weeks so I will probably pick up a Keg there and save the shipping and hazmat. I will be going through Sedalia, MO when I am back home for thanksgiving and plan on stopping at Starline while I am there.

Looked at the 45CS awhile back. While I do not shoot Cowboy Action,I can accomplish the same vels and lower pressures just by filling the 45LC case with Trail Boss or dropping down from that load by 70%.
And wondering if the lever guns would function reliability with the short COAL of the Special. Would you need a spacer for the shell lifter ??
Not for me. Will stick with the LC.
But going to Starline is the way to go. Back in the early days several of us used to make the journey to Sierra for bullets. Back then you bought them by the pound. Their machine spit them out into the container of your choosing. --- SAWMAN

In the cowboy action winchester 66's and 73's they make a special lifter for the 45cs. I am from that part of sedalia and have been buying direct at Sierra and Starline for years.
