Want to buy Ruger American Rifle in 308 or 5.56NATO prefer Ranch model, but will consider any model. If you are asking retail/MSRP, not interested.

Still looking I am interested in almost any caliber.
I got a nice stainless steel Browning A-Bolt in 308 I'd let go for $600

I picked up a Ruger American Ranch Rifle in 762x39 last weekend. Haven't got to shoot it because of all of this rain we've been having. But, tomorrow (Oct 7) is the day. Looking forward to having some fun with my new play thing.

Its a 308 bolt action, not much else to say. By itself, no scope or rings and I haven't fired it. I'll throw in 200 rounds of ammo I bought for it for free
    Barrel length
    threaded barrel
Model number, yes I know an A-Bolt, but what model
    Ageof rifle
Do you have box and paperwork

Did you get it local? Do you know if they have more in stock?

I got it from Jay's in Crestview. I was on his waiting list. It didn't take long, he seems to get them in quite often. Mine was the only one he had gotten in. I would call or stop by and ask to be put on their waiting list for one. They are really good about notifying you when something on the list comes in. Crestview is only a 45 minute drive from Pensacola. To me it's worth a short drive to get what you want. Ruger seems to make less of this caliber than others, so getting on a waiting list is a good way to go if you really want one.

Added: Gulf Coast Guns in Milton usually has several Ranch Rifles in stock, but never in 762x39. I've been in gun stores where they didn't even know that Ruger makes one in this caliber. Really though, that's not surprising.

Barrel is not threaded. It's definitely longer than 16". I don't have the box or paperwork. Pretty sure it's a Gen2. Bought it here on the forum used so don't know a round count. Other than its an "A-bolt" model... that's what I know.

What did Jay's charge ? I've herd they like 2 1/2 bushels full of $$ for what they have ?
Also, I couldn't find a spec sheet on the 7.62 x 39 chambering, does it say on the instructions to use .311/.312 bullets ?
