Starting to shop for one, looking online but usually somebody here has 1 of everything... not looking for a grade 1 fully restored or a grade 6 box of old parts either... Something in between would be ideal....

Had a '52 Willy's pickup back in nb 1979 for a short time. It had a 6V system got it converted to 12V. You can't imagine what is involved with that.
It was 4X4 with positraction (?) front and rear with a low range shifter. Streight line onl with diff's locked. Like the older Power Wagons and J20 Jeeps.
At one time the Navy had a bunch of J20's. They were used as "Explosive A" vechicles.
Good luck with the Willy's but make sure that you understand what you will be getting into. --- SAWMAN

Is that a CJ7 or 5. Kinda looks like the shorter wheelbase of a 5 but no expert.
I had a hardtop 7 back in (IIRC) '83. Also had a Toyota Landcruiser waaaaaay back.
Remembering the off road club that I was in consisted of Jeep,Landcruiser,Bronco, and IH Scout's. Just a few Power Wagons and other P/U's.--- SAWMAN

77 CJ5. Best way to tell the difference is door cutouts. CJ7 had full doors. CJ5 had wheel well in the door.

Haven’t bought the press yet. Still kicking it around.
I enjoy watching the Mecum auctions. You never know what will be auctioned off.
Every once in a while I see something nice and think “Heck, I would’ve paid THAT”.
Check FB marketplace for a Willy’s.
    Here’s one in Georgia.

The YJ is the pinnacle of jeep design, except for the shotty vacuum lock in on the front axle. (49$ fix) Mine is 4 banger with tbi. Ill be dust and it will still be running.
