I just picked up 2, consecutive serial numbered, Stag stripped lowers. Didn't really need them but for $80, I couldn't pass them up. I have a 16" 223 Wylde, 10.5" 7.62x39 and a 10.5" 9mm. And have a substantial cash of those calibers. Not sure I want to venture into other calibers or build pistols (kind of waiting to see what happens with all my braces).
    Or just stach them away...

Build a 24” bull barreled tac driver in .223/5.56. I regret selling mine. It was heavy. But no recoil and boringly accurate

Personally, I really love the 18" version of an AR15.

Maybe a cloneish copy of a MK 12 SPR.

A nice Douglas SPR profiled barrel from CLE, PRI Gen III HG with Top Rail. Top it off with a Gen 1 Vortex Viper PST or Leupold MK IV.
