    Thanks for this info.
Taurus did not offer that up last 5 times a called them.
But just got off phone and yup the scree is still on backorder but I can ship the gun to them on my dime.
So I fig I'll send it to them and take up space on there shelf instead of my safe and I have to repair it if the screw ever gets made.

    Anyways thanks

I lost a rear sight mounting allen screw on a Taurus PT1911. Same put on back order issue. I kept checking Status every few weeks, no progress. Last call the woman cross checked another allen screw but it was a little long, She sent two and I just filed it down to fit correctly. You might check with them for an alternative part. You could also check with Fastenal for a replacement. Taurus and Rossi customer services are under the same roof now.

I still like Taurus but customer service has always been very slow.

Yes looks like it but no plunger or spring

but now I find out if I pay the 50 bucks to send it back
They said $17 for parts before.
    And I put together

or send it back they put it together and warranty covers it
Total cost then around 30 bucks out pocket.

Maybe it will get fixed quicker if I send it to them.
    Who knows

Iv been setting on it for 6 weeks let them set on it for awhile

Once you send it, the other options are off the table. If it's a Backordered part, their U.S. gunsmiths don't have parts access either. So, there's still waiting time to get it done. I do thing any company would pull "arriving parts" to fix in house repairs before shipping backordered parts to other customers and that may move you in priority. Again, if the gunsmiths can modify an alternate part, you may be repaired faster than waiting on the Backorder. Roll the dice.

I've had two Judges and a Governor. Both Judges were broke down almost immediately, one seized right up brand new first time out the door. The Governor was better mechanically and with fit, finish and weight, and it was higher capacity, but because it was 3 calibers with the moon clips some of the 410 brands rims weren't spanning the cylinder gap.

Got a bunch of metal containing tin from a friend getting out of bullet casting. Most 50% tin/50% lead, around 18 pounds. Some 95% tin/5% antimony, around 3 1/2 pounds. A few ounces of 40% tin/60% lead. It'll mainly be used in casting for my 11.7x51r Danish rolling block that uses 20 to 1 lead to tin.

Watched the debates while hand priming a couple hundred .38's and having an adult beverage. Towards the end of the debate I didn't feel coordinated enough to load my primer tray again without spilling primers to load a hundred more. Damned barrel proof bourbon done did me in. Guess I'll load the other hundred tomorrow after work before I start charging them. No bourbon or TV during that process though

The wild turkey was a birthday gift a few weeks ago and I traded small rifle primers for the pistol primers. Range trips have definitely gotten cheaper since adding 38's into the mix instead of just 9mm

I spent an hour researching the PRC Type 63 service rifle. I found a 33 year old review in print and wondered why I'd never heard of it before. Imagine a full auto/select fire SKS with detachable 20 rounders, an adjustable gas system, and a rotating bolt like an AK. Anybody ever seen one of these for sale? Apparently there were like 5 or 6 million of these made.

Been looking at my supplies and thinking about offloading 500 rounds or so of 115gr 9mm factory fmj ammo to fund a project gun. I don't even know what project I want to build other than likely .22lr, .38/.357, or 9mm in caliber. I've always bought a couple of boxes of ammo on paydays before the plandemic hit and made it either unobtainable or too expensive for my tastes. For once, reloading 9mm is truly cheaper than buying factory plinking ammo and I've managed to stock up several thousand primers, cases, projectiles, and I have plenty of powder for my pet load (8# bullseye) so I think I can afford to let my stock of range ammo deplete while I tinker with something fun.
