Went to Escambia River range and shot new Walther .22 pistol and new Ruger LCP-2 to break in both for my wife. Great pistols.

Tried some 50 grain varmint bullets in a Wilson barrel that has 1in7 twist and a Wilde chamber, the results were different than I anticipated. They made some of the tightest groups that rifle has ever made. Not at all what the experts say should happen. Fast twist barrels are supposed to shoot heavy for caliber bullets the best .

Check the accuracy and speed of some hornady SubX hand loads this morning before it got to hot. 9.5 grains of H110 loaded in mix head stamp LC cases with 7 1/2 Remington primers average speed was 1050 FPS . The accuracy at 75 yards was acceptable. I’d be confident taking shots out to about 125 yards use this combo. Rifle was a bolt action with a 16 inch barrel.

And 50 grain is fast in pistol length barrels, too. Pair it with solid copper 50's and you're good to go

Hmmm, might have to start grabbing some of these smaller grain bullets that are out there right now with the shortage of 55 and above. Never thought about using them in my pistol length .223/5.56 guns.

Fast twist shoot heavy bullets the best. ????? Uhhhhhh . . . NO . . . Not as a blanket statement.
Depends on a variety of things. Maker of bbl. Quality of bbl.Number of grooves. Twist rate. Type/design of bullet. Loading specs. etc, etc, etc.
Slow twist will not shoot LONG bullets. TRUE. Bbl length (normal) has nothing to do with accuracy. TRUE
    Other than that ??
I could give you dozens of examples in quite a few different chamberings,in several different actions. --- SAWMAN

Removed the California compliant muzzle brake on a Yugo SKS I purchased off the for sale section here last year. Added the correct Yugo grenade launcher attachment. Had to cut off the weld, so was kind of nervous doing it, but went slow with a Dremel and cutting wheel. Turned out pretty good.

Sold some ammunition today, and was over an hour late . I got tied up with the new building I’m having built and lost track of the time. The buyer was gracious enough to not post a bad review for me and smear my good reputation. I’ll keep that in mind if the opportunity to help him should ever arise.

I fell in love with the 93R in grade school when I read about it in Don Pendleton's Mack Bolan books. Had quite the collection, over 200 of them. Sold them years later when I got orders for the far east.
