I got a 224v/6.8 bolt from them and it's been great. It was about 1/2 the price and was on sale. Re: buffer using 4oz on the x39. Prob could go heavier may try the 9mm one.

Picked up some needed items. Some day just like the triangle handguards these will disappear. Saw a x39 frankenmag and passed on it. I'll regret it, I'll bet.

ASC are some of the best mags made. The 6.8,6.5G,and others have a stainless mag body. The two mentioned are interchangeable. They offer a 10 and 5 shot in both, for us deer hunters.
Great mags. Especially with that black stuff off.
No expierance with the X39 mags. --- SAWMAN
ADDED: Great reports on the ASC 450B mags (7 shot) also James.

The low capacity 6.5g 5 shot from alexander arms did function well in 7.62x39 for me. I will not say it is interchangable, only that so far it worked.

Yep have several ASC mags. They work great. I got followers for the 450b. Pmag and 20 rd Gi. Had to hand fit the 20s but they work great.

So, went to look at an estate sale this morning. The lady let me look around her late husband’s gun room because her friend told her I'd have some idea of what his stuff was worth. He had a lot of ar parts made her an offer we’ll see if it was enough pretty soon.

Well, here are the results from my Remington 552 Speedmaster BDL restoration and engraving. It belonged to the father of a man that I consider my brother. He wants to give it to his son as a graduation present and asked me if I would restore it. I consider all 4 of his sons as my own, so of course I accepted the job. It had pits, rust, discoloration, and he wanted maple leaves engraved on the stock (his family crest). I stripped it down, removed the pits, reblued it, and did he engraving. I got it done in time for his graduation party and I think that it turned out pretty good. I love restoring heirlooms.

Went to the hunting camp today to plant iron peas, Chulfa and pull game cams.
Shot the lightweight Franken AR. So far so good with the CF lower. Have about 120 rds thru it. Drove the UTV all over. Set up game call, attracted some crows. Sad to report only could get about 100 yards on the remote.
Let the granddaughter shoot the AR. Fun day with Ms and granddaughter, going back tomm.

Is it crow season in Ala. ?? Are the use of electronic calls legal ??
I only ask because many states have some really strange laws as to crow hunting. Some even certain days of the week. Maine was really weird.
Crow hunting using call(s) and decoys is great fun. Even for kids with a 410.
Some of my very best expierances guiding was for crows. Easy going, laid back, nothing serious, can talk and plenty of jokes to tell and pranks to play. ---- SAWMAN
