Is it crow season in Ala. ?? Are the use of electronic calls legal ??
I only ask because many states have some really strange laws as to crow hunting. Some even certain days of the week. Maine was really weird.
Crow hunting using call(s) and decoys is great fun. Even for kids with a 410.
Some of my very best expierances guiding was for crows. Easy going, laid back, nothing serious, can talk and plenty of jokes to tell and pranks to play. ---- SAWMAN

Yep, legal for everything except turkey. Had a lot of fun headed back today. Busy meeting the rest of the hunters.

Picked up some needed parts. 41rd mag for the clay pit. Star mags, made in Montana, PT809 17rd mag!. (Now have 5)2x Rifle tube, spring, buffer, spacer and screw. Gas tubes, enhanced firing pin ( if needed for x39, dosen't appear that I need it:) 2x threaded caps and bolt retaining pin. Tac force booth has really good stuff at fair prices. BCA barrels for $75 just about any lenght/caliber. 18 to 7.5 inch same price. Eyeballing 350 legend, 6.5g barrels but put it back.

Got a hat band for my new Stetson, courtesy of the Franken AR. Only a baby but should make 1-2 raps on my hat. Gonna leave the buzzer on the back.

Traded for this today. Savage Axis. 243 with 22 inch barrel. Nib. Should be fun. The barrel is 100% free floated. Lightweight. Nice trigger, no accutrigger. removable mag. 1:9.25 twist. Has the good safety on top, slider. Impressed with the "bargain" rifle. Hey, am I part of the 6mm club now?Scope and shoot. Thought about using a nikon 4x scope on it or a 3x9?

Just enlarged the pic of the AR thingy. Not even in the ballpark to a "M16A4". Go back and try again.
But . . . you put it together, there is not another one like it,it is the way you want it,you own it. (Just put a MagPul in it. Use a old one though. Somebody's gotta have some skinned up ones from back in the 2015's)
Your covered. ENJOY !! (But no blasphemy) ---- SAWMAN

I set up my new RCBS Pro Chucker 5 progressive press and started cranking out .45 ACP ammo. These presses got some bad reviews early on for primer feed issues, but when assembling I looked for any burrs and slicked up some surfaces, and the press runs smooth as silk. This is my second Pro Chucker press. The first one I use for multiple calibers, and the new one will probably remain as dedicated .45 ACP, which I shoot the most.

Loaded 30/40 Krag with my cast bullets. Loaded more 6.5x55 Swede cast bullet loads for testing. Was gonna go to the neighbor's range to do more accuracy testing, but just got a text that a FEDEX powder order is to be delivered and needs a signature. Have been going through so much Alliant 2400 with cast bullets that more of that powder was needed.

Joined a 2nd hunting club. It's the one I and the wife really wanted to be in. Waited 7 years for a spot to open. Bucks 6pt and above only. Feed and plant all year. Plots/ lanes are huge. Most members "0" at 300. Looks like I'm going to have to practice more. We shouldn't have any trouble filling the freezer this year! Headed over to help plant chufula Friday in prep for turkey season. Already got the go ahead to shoot all the coyotes/Bobcats, feral cats and anything that's not a deer or Turkey. Looking forward to trying the game call. *** ah, crap now I'm gonna have to get a new rifle, lol most of mine are short range** (+150 yard guns) or too light in the azz. Dammit. Wife is set 700VTR .308.

A nice 7mm-08 with the berger classic hunter or the hornady eld-x would be a nice rifle for deer. Shoots flatter than a 308 and still has the energy to knock almost any game down in America.

Thanks. Traded some AR stuff for a 243. Gonna try it and see. NIB Savage Axis 22 inch bolt gun. Have to go shoot later this week. Might try out the pig farm range.

Been cleaning all the weapons, now that it's hot as fuck and my shooting activities will be limited until it cools a bit. Ordered some extra gas rings as 2 BCGs were close to needing them and I swapped them anyway. ARs / Tactical rifles are done, as are the 22LRs. Pistols next I guess.

Had a busy day. Picked up a light w holster for my PT809. Spitfire 3x and a cool ammo can. We blanched and sealed 4 bushels of corn, while we had the sealer running I will try an experiment. Ya know for science, not to bury in the yard.

Converted the fixed mag pul carbine stock to rifle lenght. Easy and looks good I think. Not bad to have a fixed rifle stock for +/- 25$. That also uses the carbine buffer, tube and spring. Just had to measure and file a slot in the tube. Drop the screw in, tighten and done, with no wiggle. 1st pic is stock configuration. 2nd pic is filed slot. 3rd pic is finished rifle length stock. The kit comes with 2 end plates one for flush and one for inset. Cool huh?
