I belive this to be a 2nd model safety hammerless pistol. Has a 5 inch barrel, was wondering if anyone can help me confirm or give me an estimate on value? From what i have found the 5 inch barrel on a .38S&w is hard to find.

On the flat top of the rib on the barrel is where you will find most markings, like on this old girl.

Screw damage makes the think Spanish, as they used softer metals in their copies. Here is the search for similar IF Spanish copy. More than Spain copied them, so hard to say.

Look on bottom of grip frame for ser# then you’ll be able to narrow down if 1st, 2nd or 3rd Gen. Not sure if I’ve seen exact copies of the “lemon squeezers” of S&W. Yeah the short and longer barrels are not very common.
