When asked he said she was muttering and taking notes the entire speech, and from what he heard she was muttering about Democrat accomplishments; perhaps irritated that they were not mentioned. President Trump delivered an Original SOTU Document to the Speaker of the House as required. Pelosi destroyed that Official Federal Record and that action is a FELONY. The crime was video recorded/televised and viewed by millions of witnesses as was Her confession to the crime with her motive. Seems to me that there is more direct first hand evidence to Impeach Pelosi than there ever was against Trump.

I get news letters from Matt Gaetz every week or so. ( Worth subscribing to,worth reading.)
He stated the exact law that she broke and has demanded review for both ethics committee complaint,censure,and prosecution.
That document was all of ours. It did not belong to her to make the decision to destroy.
Saw on the news yesterday,her copies were PRE TORN so that she could start the tear more easily. You noticed that she tore them in three stacks. She started the tear (on camera) at the first of his speach.

The democrats could not confirm an impeachment conviction against Trump and I think that action did not help them. The republicans will most likely not get an indictment against Pelosi. I am not and also the rest of us are not lawyers or specialists on federal archival laws so none of us here know.
I did some quick googling and found where this started.

Realistically, I don't think anything punitive will happen with Pelosi's tear-trum. I was just providing an example of documenting a crime verse the hollow Impeachment forced on Our Nation. Pelosi prepping the SOTU Documents with "starter tears" then into seperat stacks that her physical could tear (also caught on tape): that's all premeditation. Definitely kabuki theater with all the drama and exaggerated display to make sure it was seen by the camera operators and sent to your TV.

The democrats are honestly obsessed with Trump. In this case the public is seeing the real face of the democratic party. Usually what most politicians say is a false front that they themselves know is not true. But absolute loathing by Senator Pelosi of Donald Trump is what she thinks. There is nothing that they will not pull. The recent confirmation hearing of justice Brett Michael Kavanaugh was typical of this and it was done by Senator Dianne Feinstein. They see nothing wrong with that type of behavior. When they finally gain control of the US, maybe in 2020 or in another election they will likely attack to the point of acting illegally on those that have different political beliefs.
The democrats have lost much of vote of blue collar workers and really have no respect for such people either. Even if you are not a conservative, if you do not agree with their disregard of the US constitution you will not be safe. For extremists, you either agree with them 100% or if not you are their enemy.

I just received my latest email form Gaetz's office. Gaetz is only slightly maybe retreating in saying it may have been a violation of law and selected statements of his below. My thoughts are that torn up speech with Trump's signature along with Pelosi's fingerprints would have monetary value if anyone bothered to save it.

I have sent a letter to the House Committee on Ethics, asking that they investigate the matter, and recommending that they censure the Speaker.

Tearing up this document was certainly distasteful — and was likely illegal, too.

A section of federal law (18 U.S.C. §2071 ) states that “Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys […] any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office […] shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.”

Unlike the copies of the State of the Union address available elsewhere, Speaker Pelosi’s was an original, hand-signed copy. During State of the Union addresses, the President hand-delivers a copy of his remarks to the Speaker of the House, and to the President of the Senate (the Vice President).

Those two copies are the ‘original’ documents, from which all subsequent copies are made. They are not the “personal property” of the recipients. They are the property of Congress.

There is no question whatsoever that Speaker Pelosi “mutilated, obliterated, or destroyed” the copy of the President’s address provided to her at the beginning of the evening. The video evidence is clear and abundant; the Speaker herself gleefully acknowledged her actions.

The Speaker cannot be above the law.
