I am going to guess that to be either a model 19 nickel or a model 66 that someone put a lot of time on a buffing wheel.
I know model 66s only supposed to only be in stainless . However I don't see indication of being buffed finish?? Not sure. Beautiful looking and 100% on function/mechanical

If it were a 19 the hammer would be case colored. If it's stamped 66-4 it's stainless. I can't see Smith incorrectly stamping a frame. That luster without swirls can be achieved with Semichrome or Flitz or even Mothers and an old T shirt and time and patience.

Well I much rather a stainless. With a darn fine polish job.. Mirror finish. Definitely a Model 66-4. Very light single action break typical of a few model 66s I owned. Had an early 70s model 19 and this has as fine as a mirror finish as that nickel plated.
Appreciate the info. Getting rusty .
