I know they smell good enough to eat when they are being roasted. A Coop in Wisconsin let me check out it's bean roaster in operation a few years ago.

I'd think if you just got a small coffee bean roaster you could "brew your own"?

We mix it with our corn. I put several sample spots near our feeders, in front of cameras, they love them. Moved my reolink to a telephone pole with nothing else around and poured a 32oz. cup of roasted soybeans on the ground in front of the camera. They were there every night for about an hour, even kept coming back for about a week after they were gone. 36% protein.

Brewton feed and hay is your closest Tucker Milling Company dealer. They may stock them. If not they can get them.

Anyone seen it as a bulk bag just of the beans? I checked Amazon and it looked like 7 lbs was as big a bag as you could get there.

Is the mix cheaper than corn only for the feeder? What about roasted soybeans only? Is it cheaper than corn? I'm trying to understand what makes it more attractive than just plain ole corn?

7 lbs of beans only is $20 on Amazon, do I don't think you'll likely find a 40# bag of beans. Thus, the "mixes".

Soybeans are chock full of protein. Deer ain't dumb! Corn may help fatten em up and they'll eat it, but I bet they'd druther the beans.

I was serious about using a coffee roaster on them tho.

Quick google shows someone made a soybean roaster. Group buy perhaps??

    Or this.

Next time I'm in Deluna coffee, I'm going to ask them if they would/could do a "run" of soybeans and how much would be required to merit if so. May be that a coffee bean roaster isn't workable given the specialized machines shown above.

Any interest in a group buy?

50 # bag of roasted soybeans are $26.50 where I get them. They are 36% protein, great for putting on weight and antler growth. Most of the bags that have corn and pnuts mixed are only only 12% protein, because they are mostly corn.

Surprised you can get them that low, but that's great. Amazon had only "food grade". If you're not having to certify keeps cost down.
    Good info!!

Ima check Chavers in Milton and I'll report what I find there.

Growers supply is $20 for a 40# bag. Or $.42 per pound bulk. If you can find a Tucker Milling Company dealer, they can get the 50# bags.
