Anyone have any issues with powder/primer storage in FL. my primers and powder are stored in deep ammo crate (sealed) and temp is 70-80 range and humidity gets down to 10%. is this okay or should i put in safe which is 65-75 degrees and 40-50 % humidity. Thanks for tips on this. Just moved here.

My house is central heat and air. We almost never open the windows. I've never had a problem with primers or powder going bad. I just store them on a bookshelf. In the Summer I do not like to be hot, and in the Winter I do not like to be cold, so the house is always comfortable.

Just keep them in a climate controlled area and you should be fine. I keep my powder separate from everything and in an old dynamite box. Primers just stay in my storage bins in my gun room.

Colorado is dry as hell. I keep them in garage and never had any issues. When I was in florida i kept them inside the house due to humidity and such. I also keep them I'm ammo cans with the dessicate packets in there to absorb any moisture.

I have issues with storing powder in a residence. What I am thinking of doing is getting cooler meant for wine and store at about 60F. Main thing is that they are expensive. I have figured out a relatively moderate place for the ammo. Ammo has gone up in price and is becoming a valuable commodity. I do not look for it to go down and if creepy joe wins even formerly cheap wolf ammo will be valuable. Properly stored ammo will out last me. Think 50 plus years. The main issue is storage during the winter when the temp drop a lot.
