It’s amazing . Think of all the things people have seen but FWC refuse to admit. Lots of untold stories I’m told .

I've seen one in the last 3 years in Laurel Hill off by 602.
Only one I've seen in 25 years in Florida.

How tall do you estimate when on back legs?

copper heads around quintet for sure and chipmunks in munson

I figure some must have hitched a ride in a moving truck in a plant or some outdoor goods from Georgia. My grandmother lived in Snellville area and had an offgrade house with a partial basement. You could see under the rest of the house and several had made holes and homes there. I entertained myself a lot catching them.

Native Floridan and have seen chipmunks off and on in north Okaloosa county for most of my 64 years. We planted azaleas for a hedge and have some living in there that we see occasionally

First one I ever saw in SR county was maybe 4-5 years ago. I've lived here for 56 years. At the friend's house where I see them they also are partial to the azaleas. I guess they have an easier time digging a burrow under them than a lot of other plants. We have a lot of azaleas at our house, but I've never seen any clear evidence that's where they're shacked up.
