Looking for a simple NFA trust name and City and State engraved on an AR lower.

What are the best options in our area.

Thanks...

I was suggested to use Award Masters on plafox. If I remember correctly they said $1.50 / letter and $35 min. With heads up they can do it while you wait. Otherwise its a 3-5 day turnaround. I haven't used them yet but plan on bringing a lower down soon.

Thanks for the info... Maybe we can bring in the lowers at the same time for a discount???

If you have it done, please post the results. I'm building an AR for my son in law's retirement from the Navy and need his name, rate, and dates engraved on the receiver.

Thanks

Award Masters did my lower too. It worked, but I didn't like how shallow the engraving was. When I did my SBS Remington 870 I went to Santa Rosa Jewelers and they did a good deep engraving versus the laser that was used at Award Masters. I forgot their cost, but they were very reasonable and they're gun guys too.

Did the SR engraving look professional? Nice enough to go on a receiver being given as a gift?

I've used award masters for all of mine, depending on the anodizing the machine has trouble making a deep enough impression on AR lowers (it could barely get through the MEGA I took there, but my DDLES glock lower, my PS90, Benelli M4, etc were no problem at all)

I think it ran me about $35-$40 per firearm with my trust info engraved / city / state etc.

The reason I will continue to use them, is the fact that they let me schedule an appointment, stay with them and watch the process to make sure it goes just how I want it to.

Here's a pic.

I think Santa Rosa Jewelers uses punches to engrave from how deep the engraving looks. Not to mention their scribe table with punches is right behind the jewelry counter.

The bottom one is the AR lower done by Award Masters. I guess my S&W lower had some tough anodizing.

Thank you for posting the pics. The SR done one looks nice enough for a retirement gift. I'll talk to them (once I get the exact date of his retirement and his retirement rank and qualifications).

Got my lower done by Santa Rosa Jewelers last week. Dropped it off Tuesday evening and was ready for pickup Wednesday afternoon. Quality looks good and cost $35. It was much easier for me than making it down to Pensacola during the work week.

I'm in Milton. Is there any way you could either send me a pic of part of the engraving or I could come see it? I'm building an AR to give my son in law as a Navy retirement gift and intend on having his name, rank, US NAVY and his years of service engraved on the receiver and want it to look nice. I figure I can fill in the engraving in a contrasting paint color. I've seen the Awards Masters engraving, and it's not good enough for my purposes of a gift. I think the SR Jeweler's engraving pic was done on a steel receiver. Seeng it on an aluminum AR receiver would help.

PM me if you want to.

Thank you very much.

Pensacola, west side.
Had Award Masters on Palafox and Michigan in Pensacola engrave my receiver today. Started the SBR, and am almost done. Doing a PPS-43C is not bad at all. Have to do some smoothing and bluing, and then will be ready to try and peen in the parts kit stock release!

I'm assuming those of you that have used award masters that the depth of the engraving is in spec for what the atf wants right?

Santa Rosa Jewelers. They are in downtown Milton off of 90 across from the old post office.

I'm not sure if they are or not. Mine looks a little too shallow.
