Last night, I picked up my new Beretta 92X Performance Carry Optic. I have a C-MORE RTS2 V5 Red Dot Sight (BLACK - 6 MOA) coming that should be here tomorrow that will sit on top of it. The Beretta comes with two Toni System plates that will accommodate 16 different optics.

I have had a 92X Centurion for awhile and been itching to trade up to the Performance model. Alas, too many wants so it will have to wait it's turn.

Looks like the optic sticks off the slide + 1/4 inch on both sides? Appears just like a normal factory curved slide milled off on top and tapped?
The serrations are flush. The optic does stick higher than the top of the slide. It is the same milling as the RDO models. The only way you are going to get an optic to sit lower on a Beretta slide is to buy an RDO Beretta slide from Langdon Tactical. They have to change some internals to make it work. The way an optic is mounted does not appear to affect the competition shooters. The Toni System plates (also made in Italy) are not bulky like Beretta plates.

Show a pic, viewing from the hammer looking thru the optic.
Here you go. I even took a pic of my 92 RDO with the Beretta mounting plate for comparison. You will see that they do not protrude outwards very far at all. With the design of the Beretta slides, width of the plates and optics are exaggerated. Also, the design of the Beretta plate is maybe a couple thousandths of an inch narrower than the Toni System plate if that much.

Do you know if the 92x performance frames are compatible with the other 92x slides? The thought of a Langdon tactical optic cut 92 slide on the steel performance frame is making my wallet scared.

I did a little experiment for you. I took the slide off of my 92X RDO to see if it would fit and function on the 92X Performance frame. It does and the 92X Performance slide works on the 92X RDO frame.
