does anyone have a pet load for .300 blackout?
my manuals are older and do not have anything.

would prefer to use ball or flack powder so i can use a powder measure.

Google is your friend. Start with the Hodgdon website. It has quite a few different loads as does Barnes,Accurate Arms,Sierra, etc.
Check both bullet and powder companies. Tons of info out there without buying a reloading manual. --- SAWMAN

Here is some data I worked up for 300 BO. Now the data collected with the subs is shooting from my 10.5" 300 BO custom build. The Supers is shot from my 16" 300 BO also custom built by me.

Here are some loads from hodgdon powders for the 110 grain hornady V-max. I will use the starting load since I am using H110 and Win-296 because it is what I have on hand. Also I am using a short barrel. I want 1950 fps and that starting load should give me that in a 7.5. inch barrel. It does not take much to shoot up pressures. one grain increase equals 10,000 psi increase. Throw in case variation and it could be more. I have the hornady on order and I am waiting for them to be shipped.

The above quoted loads are toward the higher end, but likely safe. In a small volume case, I like to stay away from the top load, especially if the loads are intended for self defense. i will use a chornograph for mine and adjust if needed to reach 1900 fps.

This is the load I use in all three of the 300Blk rifles I shoot . I use the hornady 110 grain with the same data. It shoots to the same point of impact as the Barnes and cost a lot less.

I will be using converted military 5.56 cases and is one reason I want to stay on the lower end. Supposedly there is not a volume issue between military and commercial converted cases like there with the .308/7.62x51 issue.

I have been doing more looking and people have good things to say about Hodgdon Lil'Gun powder. Do any of the local vendors sell it in the milton-pensacola area.

    Thanks very much.
I will give mikes a call next wk to see what they have.
If not I can probably trade you something for the powder if mikes does not have any. I have all sorts of things about and something may be of interest. I am still shooting at the PRPC.

BTW . . . I have worked up some accurate loads using Lil' Gun. --- SAWMAN
It seems to get good velocities with lower pressures and there are claims that it has less muzzle blast. Seems to be a superior powder for sure.
