This K31 was made in 1952. If it has a soldier's tag under the buttplate, please post a pic of both sides...I'll try to interpret it and maybe we can find the previous soldier's name and unit he was attached to.

For bolt actions, the only WW2 era bolt actions that could even come close to matching the K31' cyclic rate was the British Enfield. The ten round mags are hard to beat that way. The British' 10 round mag paired with it' 60 degree bolt throw made it the fastest bolt action design to actually see combat in WW2. The straight pull bolt of the K31 easily makes it twice as fast as the British Enfield. The one I used to own was fast enough to even outshoot a lever action. Just gotta learn to slap that bolt handle forwards and backwards with authority
