I just got an email from a local.
Apparently, Miles, from Tradewinds in Gulf Breeze, is losing his FFL effective Monday January 2nd? Supposedly just another to fall to the BS weaponized ”AFT” under this regime.
I’m not sure any details. Just passing the word.
The email says he’s had his FFL for over 46-YEARS, and he’s been at Tradewinds for 39-YEARS. I seriously doubt it’s due to something he did.
I doubt he’s even open tomorrow, or if he is, if you even want your purchase to be at the top of the list that will get turned over to the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms Explosives Confusion Entrapment and Subjugation (BATFECES) when they confiscate his records.
What a sad bit of news.

I stopped by on the 31st. Lots of folks streaming through to chat and voice their support etc.
It’s a bunch of paper-pusher BS. One inspector says a certain form was wrong for some subjective reason that isn’t written anywhere. You can’t even say “letter of the law” because the aft doesn’t even have specific regs on how some of the filing and forms are supposed to be filled out. No standards. Heck, it changes by region, even though it’s a federal agency. But if your papers aren’t perfect to the next inspector’s expectations, then boom, it‘s a “willful” error, according to the Puppet-in-Chief’s edicts. Zero tolerance. Thanks for playing this unwinable game.
Anger at the process is a natural reaction, as far as I’m concerned. It’s BS.
They can’t hold the FFL to a specific standard in writing, so they hold them to the impossible ”standard” of whatever the Future Inspector deems acceptable.
If you have Over $50,000 to waste on legal expenses, you could probably fight it, just to get denied anyway.
The lack of standards and accountability in the BATFECES is the crux of the problem. Add in the libtard SOBs who are exercising the weaponization of that agency with impunity, and this is the result.
I don’t know what he decided to do with the remaining firearms inventory. He spoke of the possibility of an extension to be able to transfer the remaining items, since he had such short notice right before two major holidays. The aft person who would know about the extension was on vacation until after his deadline, so he didn’t know what would happen. The shop will stay open for now.
What a heartless thing to do to a small business owner right before Christmas, huh?
