The year of the great oil spill I was called for jury duty and the Judge directly queried the entire jury poll over Jury nullification. No one raised their hand including me and I believe in it. I was not picked for any jury. I plead that I was doing essential monitoring of contaminated oil on the beach. Maybe it was that or they really did not want someone of my education or maybe my demeanor, The next time I got a jury letter I plead out on the basis of my age and being partially deaf and I do have problems hearing some speech.
