Just to switch it up Larry since dinner was left overs I documented a thrifty breakfast sammich I made this morning. Stale wheat bread I needed to use, and the star was Hickory Smoked Spam. Bread, spam, sharp cheddar off the block, and one egg. Simple, but SO good!

Ray-after all this time I finally found a can of the Hickory smoked Spam in Natchez MS. There was only one can there and this was the first one I’ve found. Now I’ve got to find a chance to make your masterpiece.

    kimchee jigae?

Close, hard to tell with boiling pot but it is KimChee Soup with Beef. It stoked her desire for her favorite soup, and we drove to Fort Walton and had lunch at Kim's Korean so she could get some good Yukgaejang. That is a traditional spicy beef soup with vegetables traditionally made with beef brisket.

EDIT: Here is the spread at Kim's, wife's soup, and my favorite - yaki mandu. Their fried pork and veggie stuffed fried dumpling is the best I have ever eaten!

Restaurant, Kim's Korean at 99 SE Beal Pwk Ft Walton Beach. They buy them frozen from Atlanta. Wife won't let me buy a case of the pre-made yaki mandu from them...but I STILL want to!

There is not a good Korean place any closer. We used to go more often, and likely will in the future.st

EDIT: When I say they have the best yaki-mandu, I am NOT talking locally. I have eaten it during many trips to Seoul South Korea, and it IS the best I have ever had! That alone is worth the drive to me. :)

Speaking of out of the way places, pounders haiwiian grill is excellent. I've been to the one in Crestview, there was another supposed to open up in niceville. Big portions of food for the money and it's delicious.

Wife wanted beef stew, so beef stew it is!

Wife added too many veggies, called for 3 cups she had to have added 3 cups of carrots alone!

Had to thicken it and tweak beef base to compensate for all the veggies, but it was great for breakfast and lunch again today!
