    Hey guys so I got to playing around with my luger and noticed a 63 where the serial numbers should be and all through out the gun so I'm curious if I have a 2 digit serial number gun or what ? Came here fo advise since yall are so knowledgeable and probably know more than me any advice is appreciated

    Some more info is needed. What kind of luger? Where did you find the number? Is it the only number? It's the internet. We can't see it if you don't show us. View attachment 207427

    It's a 1939 code 42 German luger

    The 1422 on mine, that's the serial number. The 63 everywhere means those are matching parts.

    I will let a better expert chime in. @Artemus
    But yes from my understanding if there is just a 63 where mine has the 1422, you have a 2 digit.

    You should probably be handling with gloves.

    Still, very rare pre-war. Please clean the prints off, and oil her. She looks to have good bluing. Congrats she's worth a few grand.
