I have this trigger group, can anyone tell me who made it? I have 3-4 trigger/hammer sets, I thought they were all plain mil-speck, until I was digging through my parts box building a lower last night.
And in searching for a gas block I came across this picture, is this really a thing?

@Little Jack's Guns has some insight on those.

That gas tube is so cool! I have never seen something like that before, but I'm fairly new to ARs. Does that actually work? A 4 inch barrel AR sound fantastically pointless and awesome.

Yup, as others have noted, it’s a pigtail gas tube. I haven’t seen one in years. I remember 20+ years ago, they were pretty popular with short barrel AR’s. If I recall correctly, they were even using them on some 7-9” barrels. 20 years ago, a friend used one on a DPMS Kittycat; haven’t seen one of those in years either, lol.

Hahaha, I was referring to the swirly-twirly gas tubes, but lucky bonus you know AR triggers, too.
Yeah.... I monkeyed with a pigtail on one on my suppressed setups to see if it made much difference. Rifle length on a mid-gas. Wanted to try +3 on the mid but never got around to it. Never used the original one for the pistol barrels. They're still out there for anyone interested.

Pigtail gas tube. Gives you a longer gas tube than normal length usually for carbine or pistol length gas system. Without markings, cant tell trigger mfg.
I can't find any markings, but it does look exactly like the Bushmaster 2 stage, as mentioned above.
Knowing the name of the gas tube helped. Thanks guys, I'm learning!
