So I just bought a 5th gen 19. I've been kicking around a few ideas on upgrades.
I've already done the sights. I was thinking about a trigger. What do y'all recommend for a daily carry?

I've been looking at the Apex triggers.
    Thanks for the info

First - polish all the stock parts. It does help and it does not cost a lot.

I have Apex, ghost, and stock triggers.

Do you have a light on it? there are many good options out there.

Guide rod laser. So you can still use inside waistband holsters and not have to call time out when the SHTF at night just to mount a laser

I haven't considered a laser max guide rod.
Never had one but it seems a valid option.

I think he said he already did those. :)

    I stand corrected.
Do make sure they’re gen5 specific sights, I found out the older sights do not shoot POA on a gen5.

If that’s taken care of, I’d say you’re good to go. The trigger on gen5 is good enough for carry out of the box. Maybe a minus connector.
If you’re also competing with it, Vickers mag catch and release as well as SLR magwell. Light if you run around at night.
It all depends on what all you’re doing with it.

Both of my CCW's have stock triggers but i've been eyeing the Apex triggers and spring kits for awhile now. Don't mind my Glock trigger but the shield definitely needs an upgrade. I've only heard good reviews on Apex.

I might be the minority here on this but leave it stock, put 1k rounds through it, and then do whatever upgrades you feel you need. Personally, I like to add a light (TLR7a is a great choice) and a set of sights. The trigger is good enough for me after break in that I don't feel it necessary to upgrade.
