I check the obits each day at noon when the local funeral homes update their websites. If I’m not on it I go back to work. Sadly the number of dead people I know is growing exponentially.

There’s one thing that the number of excess deaths over normal have in common. I think most people know what it is by now.

Give it another 10 years and you may be all by yourself. My traveling and hunting buddies are getting less in numbers and many are having serious health issues, if still alive.
One just spent six months getting over a septic kidney caused by a kenny stone blockage, nearly died. One other had a heart attack, nether can stand for very long since, so for them, bird hunting is near impossible. Of the 8 in our group, 3 are now gone, one Parkinson's, one a stroke and the other a poisonous snake bite.
Best get whatever is on your bucket list or you dream about, done, while you can still do it. Time waits for no man.

You are correct. Do it now because you may not be physically able to do it in a few years.
I thought I had this age thing whipped but the last couple of years have proven me wrong. Back & hip problems popping up.
So, do it now, especially if it’s somewhat physically demanding.

The article said Fritz struggled with addiction, so I'm guessing that was responsible for his death, either directly by OD'ing or by heart attack/stroke or whatever caused by the stress on his system.
